Taipei Fine Arts Museum

Photobucket

Went to the Ai Weiwei absent presentation at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum and for those who are familiar with his artworks, this exhibition was no different; and is just as mind blowing, politically and ideologically-charged. There were two panels lined with black and white snapshots of his life in New York City in the 80s'; and of course, I was inspired to capture motion photography after that. Finding a quiet corner with a bright yellow wall; and armed with a camera and steady hands (thanks H!) it was relatively fun and easy to capture. Of course, for that few seconds, I felt like a mad woman, what with turning round and round and focusing on making my hair as messy as possible. Definitely good times.

  5. I love Ai Wei Wei, he's such an incredible man and I'm really jealous that you got to see his art work! I'm still yet to do that. Also, loving these photographs- I thought they were by an artist at first until I realised it was you. How amazing! Ellie, you are awesome.
