It has been a couple of weeks, but finally, the last of my photos of Italy are up. I have decided to end off with Venice, not only because I've really gone snap happy on that ancient city, but because of it's sheer beauty. When I saw these prints, I was amazed at how beautifully the photos have turned out, and that the essence and exuberance of Venice, have not been lost even when captured in black and white. There is a certain beauty of Venice, which transcends colours, and looking at the city black and white, I love how it portrays a different side of Venice, one that is tinged with a touch of sadness; if I dare say.

Recently, I've stumbled upon an interview which Scott Schuman, or better known as The Sartoralist, have done with The Business of Blogging, and he mentioned that when he takes pictures, he is looking for a certain grace within people. I love how with black and white; the street vendor, the street musician, seem like they have an intriguing story to share; oh how I wish, I could capture that perfectly, in colour too.

Before I forget, I believe a huge THANK YOU is in order; to each and every one of you; and especially those who had written some really positive and encouraging words of encouragements in the comment box for the previous post. I may have started blogging a long time ago, but it is only recently that I have a clear direction and vision of what I want to do with this space. Your words have really made an amateur photographer and writer like yours truly, giddy with joy.

Though I may not have hundreds of hits as compared to some of you, and other established bloggers out there, knowing that there is a group of people out there, enjoying what I've put up week after week; is what keeps me going and it really gives me the guts to go up to strangers, asking to take their photos. So, thank you, for believing in what I'm doing; as it made me believe in myself, and my dreams, which is what Those Dusty Dreams is all about. xx

  6. thats a great point about how the black and white kind of deemphasizes everything and everything is equal.

  9. I love your photography. These photos in this post are seriously awesome! It's so nice to hear that you've really found your passion in life. I think that's so important~ or else you end up with a job you hate and that's definitely not good for the soul in the long term. Scott Schuman is someone i look up too as well. His blog is so amazing. Thanks for sharing that bit of tip from him ~I never came across that quote from him hahah :P Glad to hear that we give you motivation to essentially "be the best you"! You seem like a really chill and down to earth person too & your photos really speak volumes. Keep up the good work girl! ;) You're doing great~~~! <3
